MIA, but back again…
Wow it has been a while since my last post. I have been a bit under the weather the last few days with an icky head cold. After getting home from work, I wasn’t up for much of anything…not even stitching (Allen gasps). Today I was finally feeling up to stitching in the evening so I pulled out Celtic Winter. I did more on her white puff thingy and a bit more on the left hand border. I am sorry to have to put her away for a while, but tomorrow I have to finish packing up my spring exchanges , finish the last 30 minutes of stitching/beading on Mystery 9 for the month and then I would like to put a few hours in on Woodland Fairy since I didn’t play with her on Monday. Well, here is CW as of 10 pm this evening:)

Hopefully, tomorrow will be a good stitching day and a good stash day too. I am expecting a few packages and just opened some pretty fabrics from Silkweaver. I will post pics of them tomorrow:)

Stitch-a-thon weekend…
My goal this weekend was to finish part three of Mystery 9. I didn’t quite make it, but I came close. I just have a tiny bit of stitching and half of the beading on this section left to do. I did however, get to just about finished with my second spring exchange. I should be able to get both done real quick on Friday night:) That will leave me Saturday to finish my final Spring Exchange and get them ready to mail the following Monday or so. I also plan to do a bunch of stitching on either Celtic Winter, Woodland Fairy….or both. It all depends on whether or not MIL comes up. We shall see. Here is M9 so far…

And an upclose of one of the completed sides, with beads…
On a fun note, I went out to dinner with mom and my little sister tonight. We also went shoe shopping. Mom needed shoes for Becca’s wedding in May. After chatting with the two of them tonight reminded me of how much work goes into a wedding. I cannot even imagine how busy this has kept Bec…her wedding is almost twice the size of mine. Allen and I both have small families…not the case with the upcoming wedding:) It will be a blast though!
Well, reluctantly off to bed to get a good night sleep before tomorrow’s early morning IEP meeting-YUCK!!

Here is my progress this week on Celtic Winter. I finished a little more on the skirt, more on the right border and started on the puffy thing in her hand. The Whisper thread really looks neat. This is the first time I have ever used it. Tomorrow night I will actually do some work on White Wedding…Bad me for not pulling it out last night, but I got too caught up in Tuesday night TV. With these 2 hour American Idols, I end up watching NCIS and Scrubs down in the basement and it is a pain to bring my big stitching stuff down. As for tonight’s kick off show, I was right in who would get kicked off, but was a bit surprised by the other two in the bottom three.
On a funny kitty note, Cooper was apparently a bit jealous about Zoe’s “tape butt” incident being immortalized on my blog. Tonight, as Allen and I were settling in to watch the Survivor filler show, we hear a great thundering coming down the steps. Tons of stuff was knocked over, which is not usually the case even when Cooper chases Zoe. On this occasion, Zoe was no where in sight and as Cooper ran off, I kept hearing this funny thumping noise. As he ran around the corner again, I noticed that something black, but not Zoe,was chasing him. It turned out to be a large fuzzy black mouse toy that hangs from the door to one of our bedrooms. Apparently the string it hangs on got caught around Coopers leg and he yanked it off its hanger. I thought Cooper’s poor heart was going to explode. Now he his firmly attached to the couch next to daddy for protection:)

I got some good stitching done in the last two days. Yesterday, I got most of a Prairie Schooler ornament done. I hope to finish it tomorrow and will post a pic then. Tonight, I worked on Woodland Fairy. She is coming along swimmingly and I got more of the tree and part of her sash done. I think I might stitch more on her next weekend along with Mystery 9. I can’t wait to get to her wings and do all the sparkly stitching:)
Here she is so far:
I also got some fun stash in the mail today…
1. Friends for all Seasons-Lizzie Kate
2. Needlework Shop-Brightneedle
3. Ezmerelda’s House-Brightneedle
4. Love Yourself-X’s andO’s
5. A Canadian Journey-Guila Punti-Antichi
I also got a few fun bits to put in my spring exchanges:)

I think the frogs are gone…knock on wood:)
Last night I did a bit more on White Wedding before Allen got home from work. Of course I forgot to take a pic of it before I put it up. i am almost back to where I was before I had to take out that big section. Once I make some more progress I will post another picture of it. After Allen got home, we curled up and watched Saw. I was reminded of how much of a baby I am when it comes to “scary” moves. Usually I stitch while we watch movies, but it is hard to stitch if you are watching the movie through your fingers:)
Today, I began the finishing on one of my spring exchanges. Allen did an excellent job of helping me do the centering and suggested that I should also stitch his initials on the piece since he helped. Instead I will give him a big thanks her for keeping my stitching centered:) Tomorrow I will finish the piece…one down one to go. I also got to about the half way point in stitching my second spring exchange. Hopefully I will have it done in time to work on the finishing next weekend. I am still waiting on the goodies I ordered to put in those packages. I know they shipped Wednesday, so hopefully they will be waiting for me when I get home on Monday.
Around five this evening, Allen and I finally got motivated to do some much needed cleaning around the house. We still need to vacuum and organize our tax paperwork. The house does look much better though. Then I worked for an hour or so on Mystery 9. I am almost done with the second side. I hope to get most of the way through a third side along with stitching a Prairie Schooler ornament tomorrow. I picked a simple one so hopefully it won’t take too long. Here is my progress on M9…

And here is a pic of Cooper keeping me company last night while we waited for Allen to come home from work.

Well, aparently I had a counting disorder last night. I attempted to finish the second set of triangles on my Mystery 9, but I was completely unable to count and had to frog several times. Yuck!! So I put it away for the week…hopefully next weekend will be better:) I was able to finish one of my two spring exchanges last night and make a good start on the second one.
Tonight, Woodland Fairy came back out after a few weeks of neglect. I finished all of the skirt on the left side. As long as I don’t have any more icky Monday evenings, I should be able to finish the first half this month…YAY!!! Here is my progress so far.
Tomorrow night, I struggle between whether to watch American Idol or NCIS live. I think it may be time to get another TIVO. AAHHH I am an addict! The vcr is just so slow to rewind and fast forward. While watching, White Wedding will make a presence on the stand.

Part 3 begins…
This afternoon, I began on Part 3 of Chatelaine Mystery 9. So far I have gotten one side of triangles done…YEAH! I am just glad that it is another managbile month. I am hoping to get a good start on a second side later this evening. I also completed the stitching on one of the two Spring Exchanges that I am signed up for:)
Last night I went to the mall with my mom and sister to see my sister’s wedding dress. It was her first fitting with her own dress. It is really pretty and she is going to be such a beautiful bride. I guess this means that I need to have my dress altered too since the wedding is only two months away:) Then my dad, Becca’s fiance, Allen and three family friends joined us for dinner at Maggiano’s. Boy was it good, and I even stayed true to my diet…go me!!
